Circular Route in Tapia de Casariego
This circular route starts and ends in the town center of Tapia de Casariego, on Conrado Villar Street.
We continue by passing the municipal sports center on the right, heading towards El Viso. After crossing the N-634, we ascend to the village of Viacoba, where we turn right to reach the Encontrela Chapel, from which we can view the Palacio de Cancio.
Near the chapel, we continue along a trail until we reach “El Eucaliptón”, the most iconic tree in the area due to its massive size and 155 years of age, having been planted by an 11-year-old boy in 1870.
Further along, we arrive at the “Fuente de la Virgen” (Virgin’s Fountain), where the waters are blessed by the Virgin Mary. After a few meters of asphalt, we reach the “Cierro Grande” Golf Course in Rapalcuarto.
We continue through villages like Serantes and Tol until we cross the N-634 again. From here, we just follow the signs back to Tapia, where we’ll finish our route.
